Thank you for the invite Ray! Yes, Louis Tibesar was known as the best machinist and welder in the Dakotas. Often he was called upon to perform the toughest jobs i.e. the new Bismarck jail.

Mark, it was a pleasure to talk to you. This article was written for the show book of the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion (WMSTR), Rollag MN. The engine is exhibited at numerous threshing bees and shows, including WMSTR that occurs every Labor Day weekend Friday, through Monday. I would love to see a Tibesar relative visit and see this wonderful piece of machinery run. Ed was a brilliant welder and machinist, and I’m guessing Louis was very talented as well.

Thank you Paula for visiting and commenting on the amazing feat my 22 year-old female Cousin accomplished in the 1930s on a FN Belgium motorcycle.

There are three articles here on The Tibesar Archives regarding Justine Tibesar’s feat. We are very proud of her and her fearless adventures!

Also, thank you for letting us know about the oldblokeonabike blog. We will visit the site and try to find the mention of Justine there.

Hello Again Marc, More info on the pictures – Photo #5: “Cleon Leroy Tibesar school group back row middle tallest boy 1934.jpg” This pic also has both Marcella and Annabelle in it. Marcella is standing next to Cleon (on his right), and Annabelle is on the far left in the back row….
